First thing you have to do is get Spybot. The latest version is here.
When installing Spybot you just want to take the defaults. This is the first screen you'll see.

Pick a language and click Ok. You'll see the screen below when you do.

Just click Next. You'll see this screen when you do.

Just put a "tick" mark beside "I accept the agreement" and click Next to see this screen

This is where Spybot will be installed. Choose another place if you wish and then click Next

If you need more than one language and you want to be able to change the way Spybot looks then leave these check marks. Otherwise take them out. DO NOT put a check in Download updates immediately. Click Next

This is where you can set the Start Menu(what you see in the programs list) or you can choose to not make a folder in there at all, put a check mark in the box to do that and click Next.

This is where you can choose to create Desktop or Quick launch icons. This is important: Take the lower check mark out. Then click Next.

This is where you'll see all your choices and you'll click Install if it looks OK or Back if you need to change something.

Leave the check mark in if you want to Run Spybot now. Which is why you installed it might as well run it. But first there are a few settings first.
This little window pops up when you first install and run Spybot.

Put the check mark in the Don't show this message again or it will pop up each time you run Spybot.
You'll see this large screen but it is covered by these little screens.

The smaller screens you just want to click Next on all of them.

Click the Next button in the lower corner of all these windows.

On the last screen click Start using the program. The above window will be uncovered.
This will finally get you into the program. But there are settings inside we have to set first. This section will explain where and what to set.
First thing you want to do is click Mode and Advanced mode

When you click on it this popup comes up.

Just click Yes. The screen will change to what you see below

You'll want to click Settings and then in the list Settings again. The screen will look like this.

As you can see this shot is already scrolled down. This is the section you want: Web updates. Put the check mark in the same place it it now, "Display available beta versions"
Then click on Ignore products. The screen below will appear.

This list is in alphabetical order so just scroll to theC's and uncheck CDilla(both of them) then on down to the N's, uncheck new.net then on down to the S's and uncheck Sidestep. Then click on Spybot - S & D on the left and top of the window.

Click Search for Updates. Anything that has an update will show, like in the screen below.

You will probably have to scroll down to see all the options. But these are the check marks you want. Before you run Spybot ALWAYS update it. You'll look for Detection rules and the beta rules. They may not always be there. But you want to click Download updates; when they are downloaded and installed the screen below appears.

IF for some reason they don't download and install you might need to change servers where they are being downloaded from. Below is a screen shot of that.

Just pick any from the list that is different than the one that is the big button and try again to Download Updates. When you have the green checks by what you had checked to update then they are updated and installed. Now click on Search & Destroy and we'll actually scan your PC.

Click Check for Problems and it will start to scan. When its done you will see the screen below if you have issues.

Click Fix problems and Spybot will delete the entries. IF it can not delete them it might say that it will delete them upon reboot. This means that they are in use at the time of the scan but will be deleted when you reboot before they start back up. A warning will pop up when you try to fix the problems.

Just click Yes. The next screen will pop up when it's done.

Click OK and close Spybot. You're Done!!!
